Speaker Tom Murphy Dies

Former House Speaker Tom Murphy died earlier this evening. Murphy was the 69th Speaker of the House in Georgia, a title he held for over 25 years. He was the longest serving Speaker in Georgia's history. Flags will be slown at half-staff on the day of his funeral. As I type, funeral arrangements have not been announced.
