A special request for Chuck Morley's family

As most of my friends and acquaintances in Fayette County, nearby and in the newspaper business already know, Chuck Morley, publisher of the Fayette Daily News until just a month or so ago, lost a battle with cancer this past Sunday.

His family and all those who know him are going to miss him in so many ways.

I know his wife, Cindy, and Chuck's family and friends are deeply grieving his loss.

Unfortunately, as if being faced with this huge loss weren't horrific enough, the family is also going to have to deal with huge medical bills. Chuck had just started a new venture when the big "C" struck and the insurance at his new job didn't cover the costs associated with the illness.

An account has been set up at Wachovia Bank to help defray the medical costs. If you would like to help out you can go to any Wachovia and deposit money into the account. All you need to tell them is the name on the account "Cindy Morley" and that it's set up in Douglasville.

Please feel free to copy and paste this into an email and send it to everyone you know. Even if all you can give is $10, it'll help. In his role at the Fayette Daily News Chuck helped many, many people in Fayette County. Now it's time for us to give back.
