State Rep. Austin Scott (R-153) formally announced Tuesday that he is seeking the seat of governor of the state. Voters will decide that seat in 2010.

“We’ve been considering it for some time,” Scott said in a telephone interview from Atlanta Tuesday. “My wife and I decided back in December that we would do it, and it will be a joint effort.”
