Runaway Cap and Kill Train Slows Down

Good News! - "When they feel the heat, they retreat".

According to a Reuters report yesterday, the Senate has cancelled all legislative hearings on the Pelosi energy tax legislation and will not hold a committee vote on the bill this summer. Also, Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Chairman Barbara Boxer pointedly "did not guarantee Congress will be able to finish a bill and deliver it to Obama by December." - House Republican Leader John Boehner T

his does not mean that the "Cap and Trade and Tax and Kill" fight is over, but it does mean that our voices and millions of others were heard loud enough to slow this train down. Representative Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) said on Fox News that feedback from voters on "Cap and Trade" after the House passed its version "melted the phone lines", and I suspect jammed the Congressional email systems as well.

Congress is still trying to "Deform our Health Care System" by focusing all of the attention on how to pay for it.
