Hat tip to Pundit & Pundette blog for this one!
OK, this is NOT a commercial I want any kid to see on television. NBC has chosen to run this. I for one think Levi and NBC have gone WAY over the line. What kind of message are we sending to our kids? Watch this without your kids in the room... Gotta tell you, I wouldn't care for this commercial if they were using adults rather than kids.
Levi's has a contact form here. You can select "advertising" from the menu.
Here's the link to NBC so you can contact them: http://www.nbc.com/Footer/Contact_Us/. I'm not sure that there's an appropriate topic on the page, but I'm sure if enough people comment they'll get the message. If I'm remembering correctly, this is the same station that wouldn't play one of John McCain's ads because it was too controversial... the ad was played on all other stations.

Tancredo dropping out
Well, the writing has been on the wall for quite some time on this one. I like a lot of what Tancredo has to say. However, he just never caught on. Although I agreed with him, I just couldn't see him as President.
I wonder sometimes (but not often) about the type person who decides to toss their hat into the presidential ring. They have to have an ego, a lot of confidence in their abilities and a strong conviction that what they have to say is similar enough to a majority of people to catapult them into office.
They also must wear bullet proof armour. And have a past that holds up to the ultimate scrutiny (or at least have a believable explanation for every perceived misstep).
Tancredo hesitated when he spoke. It made him sound as though he wasn't sure of himself. One thing people look for in a President is strength.
Ever since the advent of television we have chosen our President and most of our elected officials to some degree at least based on physical attributes. On impressions. On whether they "look like a President".
I'd like to say that I'm immune, but I'm not. Tancredo didn't come across on TV like my idea of a President. Based on what I know of his stands, he'd probably have made a great President.
Well, I'm rambling. All I really needed to say was that Tancredo was going to be dropping out according to sources close to his campaign.

Good news, bad news
Good news: Herman Caine is going to be taking the 7 - 10 p.m. time slot on WSB Talk Radio! Michael Savage is gone. Not sure if he's out 'cause people don't particularly care for him, if it has something to do with the current attacks against him, if it's financial or if it's simply because Herman Caine is so well loved in Georgia. You're going to enjoy listening to him. Fresh perspective, extremely intelligent and always a gentleman. He'll be starting in the time slot at the beginning of the year.
Bad news: They're moving the Georgia Gang (Fox 5 Atlanta) from the 9:30 a.m. time slot on Sunday mornings to the 8:30 a.m. time slot. We have a Sunday morning routine going and this just might blow it all to smithereens. Not sure what's going to be happening with the other political shows on Sunday morning. If they move them all around so they run one right after another it might not be too bad. It just means the TV will have to be turned on an hour earlier than normal and I'll lose an hour of peace and quiet on Sunday morning. It's "my" time and I enjoy it. Ah well, life is all about change. If you can't adapt, you can't survive. I'll survive.
